Engadine Yoga: Membership Terms, Liability Waiver & Health Screening Policy

1. Acknowledgment of Risk
By participating in yoga, Pilates, and movement classes at Engadine Yoga, you acknowledge that participation involves physical exertion and movement which may cause physical injury. You represent that you are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent your full participation in these activities. You voluntarily participate in these activities with the full knowledge of the potential risks.

2. Health Screening & Medical Responsibility
Engadine Yoga requires all students to prioritize their health and safety.

Your Responsibility: You agree to notify the instructor immediately of any physical injuries, disabilities, or medical conditions (including pregnancy, recent surgeries, or specific health concerns such as osteopenia or hot flashes) that may affect your practice.

Medical Clearance: You agree to seek professional medical clearance prior to attending classes.

Listen to Your Body: You understand that our instructors provide guidance, but you are responsible for monitoring your own body. You agree to modify poses, use props (bolsters, blocks, blankets), and rest when necessary to avoid overexertion or injury.

3. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Engadine Yoga (including its owner, instructors, and staff) from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by you while on the premises or during participation in our classes, except to the extent that such loss or damage is caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of Engadine Yoga.

4. Code of Conduct & Studio Space
Respect: We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Harassment, disruptive behaviour, or disrespect toward others will not be tolerated.
Arrival: Please arrive on time, 5-10 minutes early to settle in before the session begins. Late arrivals may disrupt the grounding process and safety of the class.

Confidentiality: During class check-ins or shared practice, please respect the privacy of other students. Any personal information shared within the studio is strictly confidential.

5. Bookings, Cancellations & Payments
Bookings: All classes must be booked through our official booking system.

Cancellations: We understand life happens, but to support our teachers and fellow students, please adhere to our cancellation policy below.

To ensure our classes have the best energy, we require a minimum of 3 to 4 participants to move forward with a scheduled session. If we haven’t reached this minimum by 2 hours before class, the session will be canceled and you’ll be notified immediately via email/text.

For our Weekly Members: Don't worry—this canceled session will not count toward your weekly class limit, and you are free to book into any other class this week to make up for it!

For Pass Holders: Your class credit will be fully refunded to your account.

We highly recommend booking early to help ensure your favourite classes always run!

Refunds: Due to the progressive nature of our 6, 8 or 10-week series and specialised programs, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or make-up sessions for missed classes.

6. Personal Property
Engadine Yoga is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal property left in the studio or communal areas.

7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
