August Smits

Yoga & Meditation, Yoga Therapy

Flow
August began his yoga training at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram, Kerala, South India.
His formal training followed with a year at the International Yoga Teacher Association. Post graduate studies included 2 years in Yoga Therapy. In recent years August completed a further 2 years of study into the practice of Meditation and its science with the Sydney Institute of Meditation.

August’s classes are a flow of traditional yogic postures and are suitable for both beginners and more experienced students. A brief meditation at the end of the session is integral to the class.

He says: "Yoga eventually becomes much more than just strength, flexibility and balance. It begins to strip away everything that blocks your true nature. The ego. The fear. The comparison. The self-judgment."
